Satya Pal Kumar Appointed FIU Director

Satya Pal Kumar (an IRS officer) has been appointed as the Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit – India (FIU-IND) by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). He will lead the premier national agency under the Department of Revenue (Ministry of Finance), established in 2004 to process and analyze suspect financial transactions to combat money laundering and terror financing, reporting directly to the Economic Intelligence Council (EIC) headed by the Union Finance Minister.

Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award

Context: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has invited nominations for the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2025.
