1. National Family Health Survey-6 (NFHS-6) Report

• Key Observations: The report, covering approximately 6.79 lakh households across 715 districts in 2023–24, highlights robust progress in maternal healthcare, institutional deliveries (reaching 90.6%), and full immunization coverage (87.1%). Notable strides in women’s empowerment include a significant rise in internet usage (64.3%) and bank account ownership (89.0%), alongside expanded health insurance coverage now reaching 60.2% of households.
• Performance Metric: Significant reductions in chronic malnutrition were observed, with child stunting declining to 29.3% and severe wasting decreasing to 5.2%, reflecting the cumulative impact of government health and nutrition initiatives like POSHAN 2.0 and the Universal Immunization Program.

2. QS World University Rankings 2027

• Key Observations:

Global Domain: The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) retained its #1 global position for a record 15th consecutive year, followed by Imperial College London and the University of Oxford.

India’s Rise: Featuring 52 institutions, India is now the 5th most represented higher education system globally, marking the fastest proportional growth among all G20 nations.

Upward Trajectory: More than half of India’s ranked universities improved their standings, heavily driven by strong gains in research citations and employer reputation. The University of Delhi climbed to 322nd globally.
